Pastel Colored Sweatshirts
Between elegance and casualness
This is a sweatshirt that we presented to you last year in indigo blue. Following its success, we relaunched production by developing a new color palette: yellow, strawberry, ecru and blue. These are pastel colors that required special development and a unique wash which gives them a unique vintage look.
Several months ago, we returned to the history of this piece and its close link with sport and American universities. For those who missed this story, know that the sweatshirt was invented in 1920, in Alabama, for student athletes. Then, it was thanks to the world of music and particularly hip-hop that this garment became popular.
We love its casual, comfortable and practical side, especially since it has the real tailoring characteristics of the time. We deliberately chose to make this sweatshirt plain and without printing so that it can easily be worn and combined. Thus, it remains timeless.
No detail has been left to chance. It is 100% cotton, the interior lining has been woven using a traditional process which provides a very pleasant feel.
There is a yoke at the back of the neck and a "V-Stitch" triangle under the neckline, which prevents the collar from being distorted when putting on the garment. Before, it was also used to absorb the perspiration of athletes.
The edges of the sleeves and bottom of the sweatshirt are ribbed using a dense, high-quality knit, unlike most current sweatshirts. There is therefore no risk of this ribbed knit becoming deformed.
You can also wear this sweatshirt over a shirt and bring out its collar for a more committed look where elegance and casualness will combine perfectly to suggest a chic-casual style.
