The Chic and British Vest
The vest for all ceremonies
We like to discuss with our customers, take into account your opinions, your comments on our collections. It was therefore at your request that we created this reversible model because you shared with us your wish to acquire an elegant, light-colored vest for summer ceremonies. Here we tell you the outcome of this project...
We worked on this idea for a long time but we wanted to give more relief and modernity to the white fabric which seemed too bland to us. So we replaced it with a patchwork using several different cotton fabric constructions. The various fabrics used give variations of ecru tones once they are dyed. The result ? We give real dynamism to the style of this vest.
On the other side, it is a natural linen on which we have subtly reproduced the pattern of the Union Jack, which is none other than the flag of the United Kingdom, thanks to strips of fringed fabric, for a chic, offbeat and “so British” style.
The assembly of the patchwork of the different cotton fabrics and the creation of the Union Jack symbol in natural linen were carried out in the traditional way and by hand in our workshop in Lisbon.
Although we developed this model according to your wish to wear it during a ceremony or as part of an evening or an event, its elegant sobriety offers a thousand and one other occasions to wear it.
