It's in Biarritz, in front of the ocean, in an environment conducive to inspiration, that the brand ( L'EGOÏSTE ) was born. It is this state of mind that we want to transcribe as DNA through our brand and its products.
Did you know that the shirt was our first product?
The shirt is an essential in men's wardrobe. This is why 12 years ago, our designer had the idea of creating a model that could suit all body types, even before our brand was born.
It was the fruit of a long development of more than a year with our Italian manufacturer. So what is the secret of our shirts ? They have a slim and comfortable cut, meaning they are fitted on small sizes and wider on large sizes.
When it came time to put a name on the labels of our shirts, as strange as it may seem, our designer had never thought of it. Indeed, his primary intention was not to create a brand but to produce an iconic piece that could perfectly match all men.
Our new range of shirts with an Italian collar, the Modena
Why ( L'EGOÏSTE ) ?
It is indeed a men's shirt, so to give it an identifiable name and put it on a label, we asked ourselves what adjective would best describe a man.
And it was women who gave us the answer. Indeed, according to a famous survey, 76% of women say that the character trait that best represents a man is "égoïste" (mean selfish)... The name of the brand was then obvious.
As you know, we develop a product to perfection. Our first shirt model is the Milano reference. Here, it is worn by our muses.
This season, we have created a new line with a new collar: the Italian collar. This is the Modena reference. The shape of its collar is more open and shorter. It will be even more chic when tied.
For the record, the French call it "the Italian pass", while the Italians call it "the French pass". For once, we can't be accused of being too chauvinistic.
