HISTORY
The Henley, also called the “Tunisian collar t-shirt”, was created in the 19th century in England. At that time, wool and cotton, it was all in one. The top and bottom are linked, like a jumpsuit. It provided protection from the cold.
In 1839, English rowing athletes adopted it for its thermal qualities, comfort and ease.
Then it will be widely used and appreciated by soldiers on the ground, in Korea and Vietnam. Before then being democratized, and adopted by the workers.
It is very regularly worn in action films by actors such as Charles Bronson, Tom Cruise or Bruce Lee.
STYLE
We've modernized it with a more modern cut for a trendy, casual and comfortable style, but it's no less authentic!
It can be worn with everything: alone, under a jacket or combined with several other layers of clothing for a slightly more sophisticated look.
QUALITY
It is a 100% organic cotton thermal garment, with long sleeves, “honeycomb” knitting, and a square pattern. This weave keeps you warm and is absorbent while allowing air to circulate, so it has the advantage of drying very quickly.
Its feel is pleasant and its fabric is very robust.
We washed, dyed and faded it to give it a vintage effect. Its collar is opened with two buttons.
