Our version of the espadrille: The St Tropez
It all started with a pair of espadrille...
Like our brand, the espadrille was born in the "Pays Basque". It was all the rage in the 60s and especially on the French Riviera, where it was the most popular shoe of the summer seasons.
However, it had two drawbacks: its fragility and its comfort. It only lasted for a summer and was ultimately not so pleasant to wear...
So we decided to rethink this iconic model.
The result, here it is, the St Tropez...
Our strength is to mix styles and it is in Italy that we went to develop our model so that it is the comfort of an espadrille and the elegant look of a moccasin. It is the very definition of sprezzatura, this Italian term which refers to a judiciously relaxed and sophisticated look.
The St Tropez is in suede calfskin, fully lined in full grain leather, with a removable ergonomic sole. It can also be worn "mule" style, thanks to its construction which allows the rear of the shoe to be folded down more easily. We have declined it in 3 colors.
You'll love its versatility as it's a style that works just as well for formal wear as it does for an afternoon at the beach.
