The Wood Jacket was invited to the Megève to Megève Rally
Our house, which has a store in Megève, was a partner of the First Megève to Megève Rally which took place last weekend.
On the program: exceptional vehicles, a renowned circuit and breathtaking landscapes. It is a race that requires know-how, precision and regularity.
Some crews left Toulouse for Megève after warming up the rubber on the famous Nogaro circuit. You will find out, a little further down, which car won the race...
We formed a crew ( L'EGOÏSTE ) and obviously, we had the pilots try some of our new products, some even joined in the game by posing in front of the lens.
The Wood wool overshirt was a real success, we present it to you today.
What is the origin of our inspiration?
We took inspiration from the USMC WWII military shirt, which was worn by the marines. Made from cotton canvas, it had two chest pockets with pointed flaps; clean and typical detail of this military piece, which we have been able to preserve.
Our Wood overshirt is made of Shetland wool, with a basket weave. Inside, it is lined with a navy blue quilted nylon fabric which will give it greater comfort and ease while remaining warm and breathable. Its cut is straight. It has two bellows pockets on the chest, two side pockets (for a jacket style) and an interior pocket. It's a basic piece but its details and finishes are exceptional thanks to our traditional manufacturing in our own workshop.
We have available it in two colors perfect for fall: brick red and beige, which complement last season's iconic model, with a houndstooth pattern, which we have reissued. It will be the subject of a future newsletter...
It was this magnificent Alpine A110 S which won the rally.
