The History of Tweed
This austere fabric has become trendy
Originally from Scotland or Ireland, the term "tweed" refers neither to the material nor to a pattern. It is a name which designates the way in which the fibers are transformed to obtain yarns. Its creation consists of assembling raw wool threads of different colors and thicknesses.
The result of its weaving is therefore irregular and this is what gives it this authenticity and singularity.
It's a fabric that is warm, waterproof and durable. Initially, it was workers and farmers who wore it to protect themselves from humidity and cold. It was only from 1848 that it became popular with the aristocracy and became democratized.
In the 1950s, it was the famous Coco Chanel who discovered tweed and she had a real passion for it. She adopts it in her creations and thus brings this fabric up to date.

A Unique and Original Fabric
We made these two new pieces in tweed, in brown and ocher tones. These are a Marius vest and a Slack blazer jacket.
The tweed that we present to you today is the result of research and development of a fabric that we wanted authentic and exclusive to our house.

Ready to wear tweed as a jacket or vest ?
These two pieces were made in our own workshop. The fabrics have been cut and sewn by hand and in the traditional way, which gives them impeccable drapes.
