The waistcoat is the iconic piece of our house (L'EGOÏSTE).
Thus, our designer had the idea of making a unique creation for you; a cardigan made on the basis of emblematic vintage clothing found all over the world. These are military vests and cargos made over 40 years ago that feature an exceptional and unmistakable fabric, feel, wash and dye that will make your vest all the more special and original.
This piece is reversible. Here we used a patchwork of military fabrics on one side and an Italian seersucker fabric on the other.
Our One to One project will breathe new life into these historic garments. And it's our designer who will take care of making each of the vests himself.
It's our way of doing up-cycling. At a time of overconsumption and the mass-produced textile industry, we have chosen to recycle clothes that carry history to offer you a totally unique piece.
Most of these garments are canvas, chevron or moleskin. These are old, durable and rare manufacturing materials in today's fast fashion market.
We found these fabrics and made a military patchwork by hand and in a traditional way in our own workshop in Lisbon. Patchwork consists of assembling together several pieces of fabric from different fabrics to form a single canvas. The important thing is to combine pieces of fabric in order to find a certain balance and an aesthetic result. It's a real work of art.
Here, the second reversible side is a 100% cotton Italian fabric with tropical floral patterns like birds of paradise or Hawaiian flowers. The pattern of this fabric is not always the same.
The vest is short and has a fitted cut that will perfectly fit your figure. It is equipped with a reversible martingale in the back that you can tighten at your convenience. The reversible side will be made with Italian and Japanese fabrics and will be unique to each vest.
It is a strong piece that is self-sufficient. Wear it with a white shirt, for a chic and elegant style, or with a tank top or a T-shirt for a more casual look.
Acquiring this unique vest means choosing to trust the designer and let him create an original vest for you.
These pieces will not be exactly as you see them in the photos, each will have a unique fabric, wash, color.
As soon as you place your order, we will tell you about the progress of the project in real time thanks to several photos that will be sent to you. It is important for us to share with you the realization of this vest because it begins a new story and it is thanks to you.

The second side has two fabrics, one is in beige natural linen with fine navy stripes, the other in cotton with navy and ecru paisley patterns. The back is white.

Women's reversible vest in Italian fabrics
One side is made of two fabrics, one in seersucker (embossed effect) and the other in printed cotton. The second reversible side is an ecru red-selvedge canvas.
Its cut is quite straight, almost "oversize" for a more relaxed look.

Women's navy suit vest, 100% natural indigo cotton. The appearance of this fabric was obtained thanks to a particular technique which consists of "crumpling" the fabric before heating it, which will make it possible to obtain this "crumpled" effect.
The back is in Italian linen with floral motifs.

One side is a patterned indigo blue Japanese fabric, the other side is a seersucker (waffle-like fabric) patchwork.
It is very light and easy to wear on sunny days. Its colors and patterns are also very spring-like.
